Best description of Sarah Palin ever

Or really any politician

“When one watches some tired hack on the platform mechanically repeating the familiar phrases — bestial atrocities, iron heel, bloodstained tyranny, free peoples of the world, stand shoulder to shoulder — one often has a curious feeling that one is not watching a live human being but some kind of dummy: a feeling which suddenly becomes stronger at moments when the light catches the speaker’s spectacles and turns them into blank discs which seem to have no eyes behind them. And this is not altogether fanciful. A speaker who uses that kind of phraseology has gone some distance toward turning himself into a machine. The appropriate noises are coming out of his larynx, but his brain is not involved as it would be if he were choosing his words for himself. If the speech he is making is one that he is accustomed to make over and over again, he may be almost unconscious of what he is saying, as one is when one utters the responses in church. And this reduced state of consciousness, if not indispensable, is at any rate favorable to political conformity.”

–George Orwell, “Politics and the English Language,” 1946

Sarah plain and full of bulls*()

Bullshit. Completely and totally full of it.

Sarah Palin likes to fashion herself as one of the regular people. One of you! Not me, mind but you, if you want it. She jets around the country appearing at gatherings of people who forget that Medicare is a government handout and who forget that taxes paid for the road that the used to get to whatever Kmart Sarah is appearing at.

Vanity Fair did a great piece on Frau Palin. Beyond the stiffing the hotel staffs on tips and the yelling, screaming fits of rage, she’s really not a very good person. She has one speech that one can listen to, change “bible” with “constitution” and be good to go.

It’s amazing to me that this charlatan has garnered such “respect” and adoration. The crowds love her. The total and complete love that these huge crowds show for her speaks, I think more to the intelligence of the American public or lack thereof, than it does to the quality of her speeches and rhetoric.

How sad.

Article. It’s a long read but stick with it.

Quick someone get a Democrat a spine, any Democrat, just pick one

Sarah Palin and the other tea bagging members of our “free” society have been up in arms about the requests to build an Islamic prayer center in New York. These morons are portraying the center to built pretty much upon the ashes of the World Trade Center. Sarah Palin in all of her idiotic glory is tweeting to her erudute and free thinking group of followers about fighting the building of the “mosque”.  This makes me angry that our country is being run by stupid, spineless politicians catering only to the rightest of the right wing idiots.  Sarah Palin can kiss my ass.

The proposed center is NOT being built on any “hallowed ground”.  Unless you count a Burlington Coat Factory as hallowed ground.  It’s not being built on the graves of the brave men and women who died at Ground Zero.  It’s not.  It’s just not.  To believe that it is as many of the Fox News followers are being led to believe is criminal in it’s stupidity.  Or it should be.

Our gutless, feckless politcians who are supposed to be leading us have failed us utterly and completely.  In a word they all suck.  So hard that the suckiness may very well alter the space/time continuum.

When we elect people to lead us, the idea is that they’re leading us for the best.  They’re supposed to be thinking for all of us.  Not just the flag waving, hatred spewing, ‘GOD FEARING” right wing bureaucrats.

What a complete and steaming pile of crap this has turned out to be.

What happened to our ability to think for ourselves?  When did the American people lose the ability to look at something and think about it?

I would say that I’m angry and I’m not going to take it anymore, but really, what the hell does it matter?  What does the anger of one person mean in a storm of stupidity and hatred?  It doesn’t.  I’m sick and tired of tea lickers portraying themselves as the tough, independent thinking group that just wants what’s best for America.  The very definition of group-think is at work here. They are to a person at the very least misguided and I think that generally they’re misled and without a backbone.  Blindly following an idiot doesn’t make anyone a better American or more patriotic. It just makes you seem as stupid as she is.

That Sarah, what a hoot

Batshit crazy Teaparty Presidential candidate and world class quitter Sarah Palin in an unscripted encounter with a protester in Alaska.  The protestor is a teacher who obviously KNOWS the Constitution and the contents there of.  Palin…not so much. Her “retorts” are full of her usual gibberish about protecting American values, blah, blah, blah, blah. I’d say it’s funny but it’s just pathetic that so many worship this silly woman.
