Hey wanna fight?

We never learn.

Case in point, arguing about politics on Facebook. Granted it’s not a forum given to erudite and thought provoking discussion. “omg you dress is so awesome” and “I totally peed my pants today! LOL!” generally being the deepest and most meaningful of Facebook posts. Politics it seems, brings out the worst in us and political posts should be avoided.

Now if only I’d listen to my own advice. See, I have a problem. I love to start political fights on Facebook as most of my friends are staunch republicans and I am just a little left of Trotsky…so you can see where there might be some issues. Of course I create the issues and start the fights so there’s that.

I’ve vowed to stop this heinous practice and very occasionally I do. I’ll post the usual gibberish mostly about how I’ve peed my pants. Because it happens so often. But then I can’t help myself. I see something somewhere, most probably the hippie commie sites that I read, and feel compelled to share it. I can’t stop.

So I won’t.

So it’s okay then…

I love this…

Seems your ol’ buddy Newt Gingrich says that his vast and undying love for his country led him to diddle his diddle in places where he shouldn’t be diddling.  According to published reports, Gingrich appearing on the Christian Broadcasting Network said, “There’s no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate.”

Well fuck yeah.  We can all use that excuse or some semblance thereof.  ”Sorry sweetie, I know you caught me with four hookers, a midget dressed as Hitler and a great dane, but you see…it’s because I love my country.  Yes ma’am. I love my country so much that I’ve had to run out and create a big ol pile of sex.”

Think it’ll fly?

Jon Stewart to cowardly Republicans “F You”

Republicans.  You know my general distaste for them if you’ve ever read anything here.  I’d rather have a visit to the large handed proctologist than have anything to do with a Republican.

That being said remember 9-11?  The Republicans certainly do.  Time after time they’ve invoked “9-11″ as an excuse for war, a reason for tax hikes to provide for security, a reason to scare the pants off of all Americans in the name of liberty.  Remember the stupid color scale?  I’ve forgotten, are we at chartreuse level?  Maybe it was green and red polka dotted being the Christmas Terror season.  Whatever.

Jon Stewart so eloquently addresses the Republicans and their new found fiscal responsiblity.  They’ve vetoed a bill that would provide aid to those first responders who have medical issues because of 9-11.  Seems kind of stupid if you ask me.

Republicans: Wanting America to fail?

Totally stolen from Mo Rage.  Worth it though.  Great post.

From the post:

There are two fascinating articles out right now, simultaneously, both either asking or proving the same thing basically and that is that the Republicans want this President–and so, the country, of course–to be really hurting or worse, so they can take the country back. I’ve written on it before.
