Man, are you right about this. Holy cow. Who can bare this guy? Hippies and middle-aged, moody, depressed people, about to blow their brains out?

They actually sell this at Specs here in Austin. I tried Porter. Two thumbs up! They didn’t have the Pilsner but will keep trying.

Old age is no excuse to be stupid.

You and I share this preference for not being exposed to other people’s inane, obnoxious phone calls. When this happens, I make clear to the phoner with a scowl that I don’t appreciate being included.

You know what?

Frequently it works.

I scowled at one young woman using her phone next to my dinner partner and I–she nearly immediately said something about “this guy not appreciating it” and she stood up and walked away to finish the call.

I was proud of myself.

It works less with guys.

Less yet with old people.

and then there’s the lights. What is it with needing everything around your hospital room lit up like it’s a runway at O’Hare?

Finally, there’s the traffic. It always seems like there’s a nightly marathon being run in each and every hospital hallway known to man.
