So I’m home sick trying not to cough up a lung but not having a great deal of luck…so far. Watching old movies I see that “Yours, Mine and Ours” is on. Something dawned on me…Lucy is/was not bad looking. You’ve seen her a million, gazillion times and so you don’t really pay attention to her.  Today it caught my that hey…she’s not bad looking.  So I think I’ll keep an eye out for other hot actresses from whenever.

Damn I’m old.

We often wonder about the mental state of our faithful readers. Case in point, our ol’ buddy Ken submitted this video and thought that we would all enjoy it. He’s right of course. So what’s that say about our mental state? Whatev…enjoy. And a tip o’the hat to Ken Mueller.

Yeah, I’m a dork.  If any of you, or perhaps your mothers, recall I’ve been a huge Rush fan, although they lost me after Signals.  That being said, I’ve created another Rush fan in my daughter.  We saw them last year, 2nd row, about 10 ft from Geddy Lee.  They rocked the old stuff, but when they got to the newer stuff we left.  Sorry, but that’s the way I roll.  Yo.

So, yeah they were on Colbert last night and rocked Tom Sawyer.   Enjoy.

Dude rocks like not only is there no tomorrow, but the veracity of today should be questioned. There’s no pretension between you the listener and Joey. He gives it up for you, and hard. His heart is torn asunder and presented to you to play with as you will. To do what you see fit. Joey doesn’t care. Joey is too sensitive for your cold, hard feelings anyway.

Pain is obviously Joe’s middle name. He’s felt the pain of life filtered through the business end of a filter made of despair and loss. He’s felt things that you and I can only thank our lucky stars or the heavens above that we’ve not felt. For Joey has and he’s remained strong. Stronger than the irons of the gods, stronger than the hottest steel from the forge of doom. Stronger than that.

You will listen to Joey and you might think that he’s a little rough. That maybe he’s not the best singer or the best guitarist. But you should think twice. You try to suffer the heartache that Joey suffers and then you will know. YOU WILL KNOW WHAT IT IS TO SUFFER. And you will rejoice that you have heard Joey and that he has become a part of your life.

BTW: I’m reminded of the singer for Citizen Dick from Singles. Cliff Poncier is nearly in a league with our boy Joey. Nearly. Watch the clip below and judge for yourself.
